Nobel Peace Prize Concert 2010

This years Nobel Peace Prize concert was just as good as the past 4 years!

For the 5th year in a row I have been the official photographer for the concert, with backstage access to the rehearsals, concert and green room.
This years hosts Anne Hathaway and Denzel Washington were a joy to work with
and very easy going and relaxed when I was photographing them, as I am the only photographer there you are more conscious that usual regarding how and what you shoot.

With all the bad weather we were having and only a few days before I was due to leave for Oslo the airport was still closed!
Not time to panic yet……..

Airport open flight boarded and on time, chap sitting next to me had been sitting on the M8 for 16 hours as the motorway was closed and he was only 10m from his house!

Arrived in Oslo with no problems, although I must mention KLM who I have been flying for 5 years to Oslo. This year they fleeced me for £96 for excess baggage for 2 lightweight light stands and a mono-pod, will be looking into other flights from now on.

Great concert, Jamiroquai, Barry Manilow, Colbie Caillat, Florence + the Machine, A. R. Rahman and Robyn were all top acts, although when you are photographing the concert with so many artists every 15-20 minutes and also wiring out images world-wide you don’t get much of a chance to take in the atmosphere. But during the rehearsals it’s different story not many people about and the freedom to go anywhere.
