The Cloisters with an Iphone

I was passing Glasgow University yesterday and had a spare 15 mins to kill on the way to a job, and I love the Hunterian Museum but no time, so decided on a walk round the fabulous cloisters…again and a quick pic with my iphone!

Since my jobs have been canceled today due to the weather (really the first day of spring in a few days!)
It has given me time to post a few images from last weeks Scottish Motorcycle show at Ingliston.

Great looking (one of my favorite all time bikes) 1969 Triumph Bonneville T120, with the American spec tank.

Great day out with some fantastic bikes old and new on show, got myself and nice new helmet for when summer arrives!

Edinburgh’s newest Indian Restaurant

The value for money was one of the best things about the Dhaba Diner. The restaurant is an indian ‘tapas’ style, which allows you to choose from the variety of small dishes that range from as little as £2 to no more than £5. We were recommended around 3 starters for the 4 of us eating and 6-8 mains. This was more than enough for all of us however we managed to finish it all as the food was delightful. I was especially intriagued by the Haggis Pakora which turned out to be delicious. This is a brilliant spin on contemporary indian and scottish food and turned out to be a great combination! Overall the food was exceptionally spicy however this is what would be expected in an authentic indian diner.

The service was great, friendly and attentive. Despite the small hiccups with our order. I definitely had a great night out and would choose to eat at Dhaba Diner again. I would also definitely recommend this to any student on a budget as their ‘Quick Dhaba Lunch’ (served between 12.00pm and 15.00pm) is an utter bargain at £4.95!
