This is my sixth year photographing Lunch with an Old Bag and it just gets bigger and better!

LWOB is an annual charity fundraiser on behalf of the Prince’s Trust Scotland at Prestonfield House Hotel in Edinburgh courtesy of owner James Thomson OBE and  raised a whopping £706,593!

The event was attended by a host of stars, including disco legends Sister Sledge, who doesn’t remember dancing to “we are family” and “lost in music” still sounded as good today and brought back some great memories from when I was a teenager at the local disco!

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit to Glasgow

Some times you just have to love your job…
What a week, I had the rare occasion of taking a bank holiday off, had a great day out with the family.
Then it was back to work…one day I might just get a real job!
Had the great privilege of photographing the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge or as there known in Scotland The Earl and Countess of Strathearn.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Glasgow to tour the Emirates Arena, specially built for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

They were both great to photograph, nothing to challenging on the technical front.
Just making sure I got some great shots for my client…and of course the Duchess smiling.

12 year old Beth Gilmour who designed Clyde the official 2014 mascot meets the Duchess of Cambridge with Clyde!

Prince William receives a gift from 7 year old Audrey Grevemberg.

And here’s one I did yesterday of Prince Charles sharing a joke with trainee chefs on the Prince’s Trust “get in to programme” at Dumfries House.

The Prince’s Trust Ambassadors Ball

The Prince’s Trust Ambassadors Ball

Another great fundraising night by the Prince’s Trust to celebrate some of their young ambassadors, an elegant black tie event with auctions, fashion show by Basler and a special performance by 2011 x-factor runner-up Marcus Collins.

The event was held at the luxurious Grand Central Hotel Glasgow, having shot a few different events a this wonderful hotel I know what to expect in the way of the lighting set up they use and also access to the stage areas and any other last minute requests that always crop up on the night!

First up after dinner was the fashion show by Basler, a great collection of evening wear.

Just before Marcus Collins preformed I set up to do a quick portrait of him in the corridor as he was going in to the Ball Room.

Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards- 2011

Great night as usual at the Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards, to recognise the hard work and commitment of young people who have changed their lives.
This is the 5th year I have covered this event (must be doing something right) great to see all the young people and PT staff and volunteers getting a reward for all their work.

As usual I always I always keep the award winners back to set up a picture with their award, as looking up to a stage does not always make for the best pic.
And you can always rely on Rangers Manager All McCoist for a good photo opp.
Here’s All with Martin Currie Charitable Trust Young AMBASSADOR of the Year award winner, Peter Sweeney.

Double page spread in The Scotsman yesterday to highlight some of the young achievers and also a pic in today’s paper.

Well done to all the winners and finalists at the Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards.
